Models

I use models to help teams sense of the things in the user's world and their relationships to one another, and what it means for the solutions they develop.

Qualitative

I believe qualitative data is the raw commodity from which we build everything else from. As such, it is my role to create a space in which users can be their most authentic selves.

Cognitive Empathy

Understanding those being observed close to how they understand themselves

Heterogeneity

The extent to which the people or places are represented as divers

Palpability

The degree to which evidence is concrete over abstract

Follow-up

The extent to which the researcher gather data to answer unanticipated questions

Self Awareness

The extent to which the researcher understands the impact of their presence

I combine interpersonal intuition with analytical thinking to explore topics thoroughly and get behind the authentic "why's" of human behaviors and attitudes.

Qualitative data is inherently unstructured, messy, and filled with contradictions, but the ambiguous nature of it is more than something just to "tolerate" or "navigate" through. It is essential to the commodity of exploration in research; so much so that I will introduce it in the presence of premature certainty to keep teams in an open mindset of possibilities.

Quantitative

I use quantitative data to validate and scale the discoveries made through qualitative investigations. It brings focus into the structured, measurable constraints organizations need to execute with confidence on.

Statistical Rigor

I utilize t-tests, ANOVA, correlation and regression analysis to ensure statistical significance over noise

Data Synthesis and Modeling

Evaluating things like skewness and kurtosis to ensure data is balanced and stable, calling it out when reporting if it is not

Survey and Scale Validation

I evaluate internal consistency and reliability through Cronbach's Alpha or McDonald's Omega when validating attitudinal metrics at scale
